Anyone ever notice that the partisan bickering, here, is rife with accusations of things nobody saw but on TV

does not match anyone l know in real life. But, night after night, the
news machine-guns us with the same crud, which shows up minutes later
right here on Y!A. We're taught from day 1 to never discuss
politics or religion in polite company. So how the s devil WOULD we know

I beg to differ with you. I don't watch TV, so my partisan
bickering comes from my own research. I have to agree with you though,
the rest of the people sure aren't getting their info from the same
sources as myself!
TV is getting absurd!
The jingle song for ABC news in the Boise market goes like this.
''Trust today is channel 6, this is ur life
Oh all you've got to do is trust today is channel 6.''
ABC owns two TV channels, & 6 radio stations here.
Everytime I turn on the radio, I hear this effing crap.
They just keep drilling it into people is minds, & pretty soon we find ourselves(most anyway) discussing TV as reality, & eating up every word of it. My parents are in their upper '70's, & they are getting pretty TV stupid. In knowing what they used to believe in, & what they do now, I am sadly amazed. They eat up everything CNN tells them just like sheep eating grain. Too bad they don't understand it is really just sh*t their being fed, & it just looks like grain.

I am arguing is either from common sense or just pure opinionation. Well,
& what my friends tell me. The not watching TV news is how I mostly
manage to keep a rational perspective--no horsesh*t to gum up my brains.
Then again, for the average guy who goes to work & comes home & wants to
have a clue what is going on out there, it is tough to find a decent
source. Heck, most of the newspapers are left-wing now. But we can always look to you to have sifted it all out & to point out the pitfalls. How could we know what people really think? Easy! I am politically incorrect & can be counted upon to have opinions, which other people invariably feel the need to either ratify or debate. Except for the ones who took me on & lost; they usually avoid the topic thereafter, like the Plague. But I can generally find some takers.
